12676 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Finance: What is the total amount, if any, spent on social media advertising and influencers by any agencies under the Minister’s responsibility since 27 November 2023, broken down by agency and platform?
Hon Nicola Willis: Financial year costs associated with social media advertising and influencers for the year 2023–24 are detailed in the Treasury’s 2023-24 Annual Review documents. I refer the Member to question 51 of these documents, which are publicly available on Parliament’s website. Please also refer to the Treasury OIA Response 20240925 on social media advertising and influences for the financial year ending June 2024. Information for the 2024–25 year will be publicly available in the Treasury’s 2024–25 Annual Review documents.
Financial year costs associated with the cost of social media advertising and influencers for the year 2023–24 are detailed in the RBNZ’s 2023-24 Annual Review documents. I refer the Member to question 51 and 52 of these documents, which are publicly available on Parliament’s website. Information for the 2024–25 year will be publicly available in the Reserve Bank’s 2024–25 Annual Review documents.
Therefore, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to spend additional time and resources on compiling this information.
