12642 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: What is the total cost, if any, of leasing office space for any agencies under the Minister’s responsibility since 27 November 2023, broken down by agency and location?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) records and analyses historical expenditure information on a monthly basis, therefore my response provides expenditure from 1 December 2023, not 27 November 2023. I refer the Member to the attached appendix which contains a breakdown of Customs’ total amount spent on leasing office spaces between 1 December 2023 and March 2025, broken down by location. I am advised that the Border Executive Board does not lease floor space. The Border Executive Board Chair and Secretariat team are hosted by Customs at the Wellington Customhouse.
