12565 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Police: For each of the new policy initiatives in the Minister’s responsible Vote for Budget 2022, if any, how many, if any, Full Time Equivalents are currently working on these initiatives, broken down by individual initiative?
Hon Mark Mitchell: In regard to the Police Portfolio, the information requested is not readily available and would require considerable effort to assemble. The time and associated cost in obtaining this information are not, in my view, justifiable. Regarding the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), there were four new policy initiatives in Budget 2022 for Vote Serious Fraud. Policy Initiative FTE breakdown • Preventing Fraud and Corruption 9.8 FTE* *Note: the FTE staff indicated for this initiative are also engaged in other SFO functions. There are three policy initiatives that relate to the general function of the Serious Fraud Office and accordingly do not have FTE staff dedicatedly allocated to them. These are: • Improving ICT Cyber Security and Resilience Capability • Addressing Non-Discretionary Remuneration Cost Pressure • Addressing Non-Discretionary Accommodation and Facilities cost pressure
