12529 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Māori Development: For each of the new policy initiatives in the Minister’s responsible Vote for Budget 2022, if any, how many, if any, Full Time Equivalents are currently working on these initiatives, broken down by individual initiative?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that Vote Māori Development received funding for a number of new policy initiatives in Budget 22 and 23 as listed in the attached table. In most cases the majority of funding received is non-departmental funding, with the expectation that resourcing for delivery of new initiatives will be absorbed into existing Te Puni Kōkiri structures. The table also provides the current number of FTE working on these initiatives (refer attached).
