12522 (2025). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Transport: What public private partnerships, if any, is the Minister currently considering within their portfolio area, listed by region, parties involved, and status?

Hon Chris Bishop: Consistent with the Government Policy Statement on Land Transport 2024, I will consider all financing tools available, including the use of private public partnerships, for all major transport projects including the Roads of National Significance (RoNS). This includes Section 1 of the Northland Expressway, Warkworth to Te Hana, which I announced the Registration of Interest phase was opening at the Infrastructure Investment Summit 2025. At this stage, no decisions have been made beyond Warkworth to Te Hana PPP.
