Hon Tama Potaka: The following advice was sent to my office by the Department of Conservation: • Notice of Ministerial consultation: BBNJ treaty ratification, 23 October 2024 • Approval to progress work towards New Zealand ratification of the Treaty on Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction, Status Report 6, Item 2.3, 5 February 2024 I was referred the following papers by the Minister of Foreign Affairs: • Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction: Approval to progress work towards seeking a Cabinet decision on ratification, 2 February 2024. • Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction: Approvals for ratification – Covering Submission and Cabinet Paper, 25 October 2024.
