12433 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister of Education: What, if any, has been the average cost to replace fossil fuel boilers in schools since 2020?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that, since 2020, the total expenditure on replacing fossil fuel boilers in schools has been approximately $72 million. This funding supported the replacement of 148 coal boilers, resulting in an average cost of approximately $486,000 per boiler.
