12421 (2026). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What are the planning assumptions that Fire and Emergency New Zealand are working with their sector partners on, that the Minister referred to in her answer to oral question 12 on Tuesday 31 March 2026?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised Fire and Emergency New Zealand is working with emergency service partners to align planning assumptions under the National Fuel Plan. This includes assumptions about maintaining access to fuel for critical emergency response, the potential for sustained fuel price pressures or supply constraints, and the need to prioritise fuel use for life-safety activities.
