12421 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: For each of the new policy initiatives in the Minister’s responsible Vote for Budget 2022, if any, how many, if any, Full Time Equivalents are currently working on these initiatives, broken down by individual initiative?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: In Budget 2022 funding was received to manage the increase in New Zealand’s International Climate Finance 2022-2025 Commitment. This initiative funds 32 FTE equivalent positions (and 1 locally recruited staff position at post in Tonga). There are other staff in addition to these who also contribute to the climate finance commitment.
