12324 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: On what date, if at all, was he first notified that Kāinga Ora agreed to changes that saw the Hutt City Council stormwater project approved through the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund reduced from two projects to a single solution and what action, if any, did he take as a result?

Hon Chris Bishop: I was first notified of Kainga Ora’s preferred option through their briefing I signed on 17 March 2025. Only the responsible ministers can approve any variations to the IAF agreement, and the Minister of Finance agreed with me to the variation on 27 March 2025. Kainga Ora notified Hutt City Council after the variation was approved. This is also my answer to WPQ 12325 (2026).
