12323 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to Ministers’ responses to Questions 8528 and 8536 (2026), did he or anyone in his office suggest to Kāinga Ora that Treasury advice was required in the briefing “Variation Request to IAF Funding Agreement with Hutt City Council, Riverlink Development” and if so, why did he not wait for the Treasury advice received by the Minister of Finance on 24 March 2025 before giving his approval to the variation request on 17 March 2025?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it engaged with Treasury while developing the briefing. Therefore, I did not specifically advise Kāinga Ora that I required advice from Treasury in the briefing “Variation Request to IAF Funding Agreement with Hutt City Council, Riverlink Development”.
