12305 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Education: What advice, if any, has she received on the new Foundational Award?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have received the following briefings: • 19 February 2025: Report- Strengthening NCEA - qualification structure and related curriculum changes • 7 March 2025: Report- Strengthening NCEA - a subject-based approach • 4 April 2025: Report- Strengthening NCEA - Qualification structure and attainment • 16 April 2025: Report- Strengthening NCEA – Setting attainment requirements • 13 November 2025: Report- Replacing NCEA - further advice on a subject-based approach and industry-led subjects • 22 January 2026: Report- Proposed curriculum requirements and qualification structure for Year 11. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 12306, 12307, 12308 and 12309 (2026).
