Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What, if anything, is the intended timeline for introduction of the standardised assessment tool that schools can use twice a year with children in Years 3-10, which the Ministry of Education has issued a request for proposals (RFP) on?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that it is preparing for early opportunities for schools and kura to experiment and engage with the new tool in Term 4, 2025, with an intention to make the tool available for use generally from Term 1, 2026.
