12218 (2026). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Has Fire and Emergency New Zealand been consulted on the National Fuel Plan, if so, what feedback did they provide?

Hon Brooke van Velden: In relation to the current response, I am advised that Fire and Emergency has direct contact with MBIE planning groups to ensure advice to government includes its service delivery needs. I am further advised that Fire and Emergency has had a representative on the Public Service Fuel Response Plan High User working group providing advice and highlighting needs in the all of government fuel planning. It has also initiated planning conversations with Police, St Johns, Health, NEMA and Corrections to ensure alignment of planning across the emergency service sector planning.
