Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Prime Minister: Is he satisfied that the Hon Chris Bishop managed his conflict of interest regarding the Melling Interchange appropriately when he decided to reallocate funding from the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund to the City Link bridge and if so, why?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As I have said previously, shortly after his appointment as Minister of Transport, Hon Bishop received advice from the Cabinet Office that he could make decisions on the Melling Interchange as Minister, putting aside his role as Member of Parliament. Hon Bishop has stated that he is confident that he acted in accordance with Cabinet Manual guidance.
