12155 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: How many people, if any, have received monetary payments or remuneration for contributions of any kind to the Energy Competition Taskforce’s work since its inception; what is the total monetary amount of any such payments?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Energy Competition Task Force is a vehicle for collaboration between the Electricity Authority and the Commerce Commission with MBIE as an observer. To date the Electricity Authority has led 8 initiatives within the Task Force work programme. The breakdown of spend on external consultants is detailed in WPQ 12157 (2026).
