12153 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: Has the Energy Competition Taskforce at any time since its inception paid external individuals or organisations to undertake any work; if so, what is the total amount of any such payments broken down by the recipients of the payments?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that no payments have been made by the Task Force to external individuals or organisations since its inception. Where work is undertaken as part of the Task Force’s work programme the agency accountable for decisions under its statutory framework manages that work on a project basis.
