12146 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What is the total expenditure on the Energy Markets Branch of the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, if anything, each financial year since 2022/23, inclusive of the current financial year?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the total expenditure of the Energy Markets branch by financial year is as follows: $12,920,638 in 2023/24; $18,865,188 in 2024/25; $16,297,041 in 2025/26 (as at 28 February 2026). In 2022/23 the Energy Markets branch was combined with the Energy Resources branch and the total expenditure for the Energy and Resources Brancy was $39,483,938.
