Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What is the total budgeted expenditure, if anything, on specialist expertise, consultants or any individual or organisation external to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment to undertake procurement for a Liquified Natural Gas Import Facility, broken down by its allocation to each financial year?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that MBIE has budgeted for expenditure on external expertise across 2025/26 and 2026/27. Individual contract amounts are not disclosed to avoid prejudicing the commercial position of the contracted parties.
