12113 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Agriculture: What briefings, aide-memoires, or other information, if any, listed by title and date, has the Minister received regarding the impact of potential fuel shortages caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on New Zealand's ability to continue to export agricultural, horticultural, or viticultural products?

Hon Todd McClay: I received one document on 9 March 2026 titled ‘MPI response to Iran conflict’. MPI officials provide input into relevant briefings and situation reports led by other agencies as part of the All-of-Government response to the Middle East Conflict. MPI officials also report to a regular meeting with a Ministerial group, which I am part of. I have also been verbally briefed at meetings with MPI officials.
