12086 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What contingency arrangements, if any, exist to maintain supply of nitrous oxide and other clinical gases used in operating theatres during a fuel crisis?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand has arrangements in place with suppliers to ensure the ongoing supply of nitrous oxide and other clinical gases, with contingency measures, including import options, to maintain supply. Health NZ is also confirming current stock levels and scheduled deliveries with suppliers.
