Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations: What is the most recent restructure, if any, to take place in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how many roles were affected, if any?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: In 2024/25, Te Arawhiti underwent two concurrent change processes. The first resulted in 44 roles being affected through a transfer of functions to Te Puni Kōkiri. The second resulted in 49 roles being affected as part of Te Arawhiti’s redesign ahead of the commencement of Te Tari Whakatau.
