12009 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Development: Since 27 November 2023, what persons, if any, have been appointed to a board role position that wasn't on a shortlist provided to you as responsible Minister?

Hon Tama Potaka: I make or recommend board appointments based on the relevant statutory criteria (if applicable) and other factors including Cabinet and Public Service Commission guidance. I am advised that shortlists comprise one of several considerations under the guidance.
