11984 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: What is the most recent restructure, if any, to take place in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how many roles were affected, if any?
Hon Nicola Grigg: The Ministry for the Environment's most recent, large-scale restructure occurred in 2024, resulting in a decrease of 278 FTE over two financial years. In 2025, the Ministry undertook three small, role-specific restructures, all of which were headcount neutral. The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) completed a review of its People and Capability function in February 2026, which resulted in two positions being disestablished, and three new positions being created. In March 2026, the EPA also completed a review of its Finance and Business Services team, with one role disestablished, and five new positions created.
