11970 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Climate Change: Since 27 November 2023, what persons, if any, have been appointed to a board role position that wasn't on a shortlist provided to you as responsible Minister?

Hon Simon Watts: I have interpreted appointments to ‘board role positions’ as appointments to statutory roles. Since 27 November 2023, I have not appointed any person who was not included on a shortlist. Additionally, I am not responsible for any boards that are administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
