11933 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many candidates, if any, have been shortlisted to replace Yvonne Browning and Bharat Guha on the Tertiary Education Commission board?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I announced the appointment of Scott Haines JP to the Board of the Tertiary Education Commission on 12 March 2026. Any appointment to the second vacancy will be announced in due course, noting there is no statutory requirement for the vacancy to be filled. As the process for appointments to this vacant position on the Board of the Tertiary Education Commission has not yet been completed, I am not able to advise how many candidates have been shortlisted at this time.
