11761 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for the Environment: Of the roles added at the Ministry for the Environment in the year to 31 December 2025, if any, how many are funded beyond 30 June 2026, and what is the estimated cost of disestablishing those that are not?

Hon Nicola Grigg: The majority of roles that were created in the year to 31 December 2025 were fixed term in nature, with a variety of finish dates based on projected work and funding. Of the 158 roles created in 2025, provided in my response to Written Parliamentary Question 11762 (2026), 65 have end dates between 1 July 2026 and 25 July 2027. I am advised that the Ministry for the Environment is not in a position to predict which roles may be disestablished at this time. The Ministry is managing resources closely, ahead of formation of the Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport.
