Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: What specific roles, by title and unit, were disestablished at the New Zealand Customs Service in the year to 31 December 2025, broken down by the date of disestablishment, any redundancy costs, and the number of functions that have since been transferred to another agency or contracted to external providers, if any?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that for the period 1 July 2025 to 27 March 2026, Customs disestablished 30 roles. No roles were transferred or contracted to external providers. The total cost associated with these disestablishments was $277,425.06. I refer the member to Table Two attached, which provides a breakdown of these roles by role title, unit, date of disestablishment, and number of disestablished positions.
