11666 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 8827 (2026), what action, if any, did NZTA take in respect of the individual who provided falsified documentation following the cancellation of their licence; and was the matter referred to New Zealand Police or any other enforcement agency?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has advised me the matter has not been referred to New Zealand Police or any other enforcement agency. As noted in my response to Written Parliamentary Question 11665 (2026), NZTA is currently taking advice and considering whether to issue infringement notices or pursue prosecution action in relation to these individuals. NZTA also advises that they have been auditing any subsequent applications made by these individuals following cancellation.
