11606 (2024). Cushla Tangaere-Manuel to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents, if any, has the Minister or any member of their Office received between 22 April 2024 to 12 May 2024, by title and date?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 22 April – 12 May 2024: • Update to Türkiye MoC Signing – 22 April 2024 • North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, and Sediment and Debris – 24 April 2024 • Briefing: Whenua Māori and Marae Pathway – Policy and Funding Settings and Residential Whenua Costs – 24 April 2024 • Emergency Management meetings in Canberra, Australia – 1 May 2024 • Briefing: Crown position regarding limiting appeal rights in Orders in Council – 2 May 2024 • North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, and Sediment and Debris – 2 May 2024 • Cyclone Recovery Fortnightly report – 3 May 2024 • North Island Weather Event: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris – 9 May 2024 • Briefing: Cabinet Paper—A roadmap for responding to the Report of the Government Inquiry into the Response to the North Island Severe Weather Events – 9 May 2024 I received one additional document on the 10 May 2024, however, it is not in the public interest to release the title of this document. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
