11567 (2025). Benjamin Doyle to the Minister of Internal Affairs: On what date, if at all, did the Minister or their officials provide the Ministry of Regulation with a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIA) regarding the introduction of the Online Gambling Bill?

Hon Brooke van Velden: There have been two Regulatory Impact Statements from the Department of Internal Affairs regarding the Online Gambling Bill. Draft versions of the Regulatory Impact Statements were provided to the Ministry for Regulation as part of agency consultation on 12 June 2024 and 20 September 2024 with its respective draft Cabinet papers. Final versions of the Regulatory Impact Statements were provided to the Ministry for Regulation on 20 December 2024 for publication. These are available on the Ministry for Regulation’s website, as well as the Department of Internal Affairs’.
