11564 (2025). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister for Land Information: What avenues, if any, do Māori landowners have to object to the taking of land under the Public Works Act aside from the Environment Court?
Hon Chris Penk: Aside from objecting to the Environment Court, Māori landowners may seek judicial review of decisions relating to the taking of their land under the Public Works Act 1981 or make a complaint to the Ombudsman.
