11488 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Further to Reply 10343, will there be any changes to Teacher Aide Support/Resource funding for schools to facilitate the introduction of Structured Literacy from Term 1, 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: Teacher aides are currently able to access funding for structured literacy professional learning and development (PLD) via the Teacher Aide PLD Fund. I am advised the Ministry of Education will explore ways to enhance specific teacher aide training options for structured literacy approaches in 2025.
