11477 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: What collective agreement negotiations, if any, will be due to take place in the Minister's departments, if any, during the 2025 calendar year, listed by date, union, and roles affected?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the Public Service Commission currently has a collective agreement with the PSA that expired in November 2024. The Commission has been in collective negotiations with the PSA since December 2024 and achieved an agreed terms of settlement in March 2025. A new collective agreement is currently with PSA members for ratification. As at 12 March approximately 128 people were under coverage with 47 PSA members currently opting to be employed under a collective agreement. The PSA has also initiated bargaining for a collective agreement to cover leadership level roles, but this has not progressed since July 2023.
