11467 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What was the total cost, if any, of Brooke van Velden’s ministerial visit to Korea broken down by flights, other travel, accommodation, incidentals, and any other spending?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The trip is currently invoiced at $19,671.65. Due to the timing of third-party invoicing, there may be further expenses that have been budgeted for but have not yet been brought to charge. The Minister’s credit card statement is proactively released quarterly on the Department of Internal Affairs website here: https://www.dia.govt.nz/Ministers-expense-releases. The next release of expenses is due for publication in May .
