11438 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: What collective agreement negotiations, if any, will be due to take place in the Minister's departments, if any, during the 2025 calendar year, listed by date, union, and roles affected?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that the Ministry for the Environment is currently bargaining for a collective agreement with the Public Service Association (PSA). The collective agreement expired on 30 November 2024. The expired agreement covers all positions who are members of the PSA, excluding management positions, fixed term positions less than 6 months, casual positions and Assistant Advisor, Advisor, Senior Advisor and Business Partner positions within the People Operations team in People and Capability. The Environmental Protection Authority collective agreement is due to expire on 30 June 2025. Collective bargaining is scheduled to be initiated with PSA in May 2025 for the 2025/2026 year. As at 28 February 2025, 69 staff were covered by the collective agreement.
