11430 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Replies 8823 and 8830 (2026), how many of the 461 fraudulently converted licences were issued after the fraud was initially detected in February 2025; and what steps, if any, did NZTA take in February 2025 to prevent further fraudulent conversions from occurring?

Hon Chris Bishop: Of the 461 fraudulently converted licences, I am advised 17 were converted after 1 February 2025. I refer the Member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 11429 (2026) regarding the steps taken by NZTA to prevent further fraudulent conversions.
