11429 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: What collective agreement negotiations, if any, will be due to take place in the Minister's departments, if any, during the 2025 calendar year, listed by date, union, and roles affected?
Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that for the Ministry of Defence it is none. For the NZDF: The NZDF will continue to bargain for the 2023 Collective Employment Agreement between the Chief of Defence Force and the National Union of Public Employees (NUPE). This collective agreement covers permanent and fixed term civilian staff who are NUPE union members and fall under the collective agreement coverage clause and are employed to work within New Zealand. Also, bargaining for the 2024 Collective Employment Agreement between the Chief of Defence Force and the Public Service Association (PSA) will be initiated in the latter months of 2025. This collective agreement covers permanent and fixed term civilian staff who are PSA union members and fall under the collective agreement coverage clause and are employed to work within New Zealand.
