Hon Nicola Willis: This means delivering credible savings from government departments (delivered through reductions in back office costs, less money for consultants, and decisions to stop lower-value programmes), and redirecting these savings to funding for frontline services that New Zealanders rely on, and a tax relief package to deliver lower taxes for low and middle income families. Announcements regarding the Budget 2024 package will be made on 30 May.
