Hon Nicola Willis: In my capacity as Minister for Economic Growth, I am responsible for the Government Procurement Rules, which sets expectations on government agencies to deliver public value for New Zealand. This Government is focussed on ensuring government procurement, including construction activity, promotes economic growth and is conducted in a way that: o promotes value for money and accountability for the appropriate use of public money o ensures the procurement system operates with integrity, including transparency, fairness, and competition, and o establishes procurement processes that are consistent and predictable, making it efficient and effective for agencies and suppliers to engage with each other.
