Lan Pham to the Minister of Local Government: Who or which organisations and agencies, if anyone, from the public health sector provided advice to Taumata Arowai in the development of wastewater environmental performance standards prior to the draft discussion document being circulated for agency consultation?

Hon Simon Watts: The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai (the Authority), the Ministry of Health - Public Health Agency and Health New Zealand - National Public Health Service regularly engage on the public health components of New Zealand’s water services system, as part of a structured interagency officials’ group. The Authority engaged with public health officials through this forum during the development of the wastewater environmental performance standards.
