11362 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How does Fire and Emergency New Zealand monitor the amount of volunteer firefighters that are considered 'available' in the AMS system, if at all?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised Fire and Emergency’s Communication Centres monitor a brigade dashboard that displays personnel availability. This live, real-time dashboard details the number of officers, drivers and crew available at that point in time. During major incidents/events the National Coordination Centre can access this data to provide live data to assist in decision making.
