11360 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many school bus routes have been reviewed and/or cancelled since January 1 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that, between 1 January 2025 and 25 March 2026, 242 routes have been reviewed. The following review outcomes have been implemented, or will be implemented shortly: • cancellation of 13 routes • merging of 18 routes • the establishment of 16 new routes, including five temporary routes to support transition to public transport services. Please see attached tables showing financial cost of school transport or the previous four financial years, showing the increase in investment, as well as the total numbers of eligible students for the previous four years.
