11355 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Will the conveyance allowance be reviewed in light of the ongoing fuel crisis; if not, why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that from Monday 20 April 2026, all Ministry conveyance allowances will temporarily increase by approximately 30%. This includes: • daily school bus conveyance allowances • SESTA conveyance allowances • Technology Class conveyance allowances This increase will be applied until either: • 12 months from 20 April 2026, or • there have been four consecutive weeks where the price of 91 Octane fuel is below $3.00 a litre.
