Camilla Belich to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 7166 (2026), on how many occasions, if any, has Kāinga Ora advised him of issues under the “no surprises” convention in the past two years and how many of those matters were of significant seriousness, complexity, or potential public interest?

Hon Chris Bishop: Under the no surprises convention, Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities may inform my office of matters it considers this appropriate. I do not hold records of such notifications in a form that would identify individual instances or enable them to be counted or categorised. Accordingly, I am unable to provide the information requested.
