11309 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Resources: Further to WPQ 6186 what specific input did Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd provide in its 28 June 2024 submission?

Hon Shane Jones: Of the 95 minerals listed in the Wood Mackenzie survey, Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd identified 67 as essential to New Zealand; 74 as holding potential for production increases; and 11 as having existing production in New Zealand. TTR provided two comments in the survey response; for chromium: “Mineral exploration potential” and for iron: “Approvals for the development of the large offshore West Coast North Island vanadium titanomagnetite (VTM) deposits essential”.
