11272 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Can he confirm that the $7.5 million savings ordered across public hospitals in the Counties Manukau District will not impact front line services?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is making changes to ensure it does not overspend the appropriation it received in Budget 2023. I am further advised by Health NZ that the measures they are taking are designed to help tighten management controls over budgets, not impact frontline services.
