11171 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Agriculture: How much, if any, did MPI spend on contractors and consultants during the week of 6 May 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is unable to report contractor and consultant expenditure actually incurred for the period of a week as invoices are often received after the period worked, often cover a monthly duration and do not provide weekly breakdowns, and several contracts and payment arrangements are milestone based rather than weekly work activity.
