11107 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: What steps is the Ministry for Primary Industries taking to ensure that the fishing industry is effectively implementing the national plans of action for seabirds and sharks, as well as the dolphin threat management plan?

Hon Shane Jones: I am advised that these plans (Seabirds, Sharks and dolphin Threat Management Plan) are actively monitored and there is regular reporting against the stated objectives and goals. Further, the three plans have multi-sector advisory groups that provide advice around their implementation.
