10995 (2024). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Disability Issues: As part of their Officials Meeting with the former Minister Hon Penny Simmonds on 28 February 2024, did the former Minister tell Officials that “A key principle to be implemented is that funding must provide direct benefit for the disabled person, not for family/whanau.”?

Hon Louise Upston: No-I am advised it is incorrect to attribute this as a verbatim quote to Minister Simmonds as the question does.
